Allen Whitfield returns to the Bluecoats after an incredible world championship season. With more than 15 years’ experience training and motivating both athletes and professionals with physically oriented jobs, Allen has inspired athletes, U.S. Army soldiers, and others looking to improve their health to reach their highest levels of fitness.
Allen is a graduate from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. Before joining the Bluecoats, Allen served as an officer in the U.S. Army, training over 1200 new recruits. Many later became paratroopers, Army Rangers, and commissioned officers.
He is the founder and head trainer of Schertz Elite Fitness in Texas, training young athletes of various sports during off-seasons to prepare for upcoming competitions. His athletes compete with success at the Texas powerhouse sports programs of Cibolo Steele and Schertz Clemens high schools.
Allen’s love for music and the Bluecoats stems from his high school years where he was an all-state tuba player and drum major. He marched in the Texas State University Bobcat Marching Band and was also Principle Tuba for the Texas State University Symphony Orchestra. When Allen is not training, he is hard at work as the Dean of Students at Milton B. Lee Academy of Science and Technology & Saenz Junior High School, part of the School of Excellence in Education – San Antonio.
