Carrie Short has been involved with the pageantry arts since 1989 when she began her performing career in Kentucky. Following high school, Carrie marched various independent winter guard including The Pride of Cincinnati and The Company Winter Guard.
Ms. Short has been a sought after designer, choreographer, and technician with some of the most prestigious programs including East Lake High School, The Company Winer Guard, The Knights Winter Guard, Opus X Winter Guard, The Phantom Regiment, The Bluecoats, and The Madison Scouts.
In 2001 Carrie assumed the leadership of the guard program at Seminole High School in Seminole, Florida. Under her direction, the color guard has become a national renowned program and a twelve time WGI Championships Scholastic finalist.
In addition to teaching, Ms. Short is an active judge for both marching band and winter guard associations and has been a member of the Board of Directors for Winter Guard International.
Carrie has a bachelor’s degree in Social Science education from the University of South Florida and has been and Economics teacher at Seminole High School since 2004. She recently graduated from the University of West Florida with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
