Rosie Queen To Lead Summer Spin Clinic: Indianapolis

This weekend Bluecoats will host its first-ever Summer Spin Clinic, an exciting educational experience that brings students right inside the action where they will learn about colorguard THE BLUE WAY!

On Sunday, July 1st in Indianapolis Rosie Queen and a team of Bluecoats staff and former performers will be leading the exciting clinic full of dance, flag, rifle, and sabre! Come learn from our incredible team and have fun spinning THE BLUE WAY!

Here’s a bit about the incredible Rosie!

Rosie Queen (Miller) has been active in the world of pageantry since 1983.  She has taught DCI drum corps such as:  The Cadets of Bergen County, Cavaliers, Carolina Crown, & Madison Scouts. She is currently the director at Carmel H.S. where she has built the program with an awesome team since 2003. Carmel has won 5 WGI World Championships, 7 consecutive State Championships, and 3 BOA Grand National titles during this time.

Rosie has also been an instructor for the Pride of Cincinnati since 1997.  She has also had the pleasure of teaching wonderful performers at Center Grove H.S., Aimachi, Carroll H.S., and Escapade WG among many others.  Rosie served as the main visual instructor and company manager for the original cast of the Emmy and Tony award-winning production, “blast!” 1999-2002.

Currently, Rosie resides in Indianapolis, IN with her husband Jeff and dogs, London & Indy. Rosie has a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education (K-12) from Wright State University and has also earned her certification in Event Management at IUPUI in Indianapolis.
