“THE EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME. PERIOD.”
THE STUFF THAT COUNTS
A FOCUS ON HEALTH, WELLNESS & SAFETY
We take the safety of our participants seriously. Whether is industry-standard hiring practices, our partnership with Marching Health, our commitment to student-focused policies and procedures, or our ethics reporting system, we put our participants first. Learn more at bluecoats.com/safety.
A ROBUST NUTRITION PROGRAM
Each and every summer at Bluecoats we serve more then 90,000 meals prepared by a professional foodservice manager and a staff of assistants and volunteers. Our menu is crafted to provide each performer the nutrition they need to succeed in drum corps.
A FAMILY - PAST, pRESENT & FUTURE
At Bluecoats, people come first. Our alumni know that, our performers know that, and our staff knows that. Whether it’s our popular Adopt-a-Member program, where alumni adopt current corps members, or the home-town celebration that takes place each year at the Akron show - you’ll know one thing as a Bluecoat - this is a family.
SOME TIME TO BREATHE
Drum corps is tough. At Bluecoats we take free days when the time is right, including one night each week off during Spring Training. Speaking of Spring Training, the corps sleeps in air conditioned dormitories, and has access to an on-campus movie theater, coffee shop, and swimming pool. The air-conditioned field house is pretty nice too.
A WORLD-CLASS STAFF THAT CARES
Whether they’re a band director from Texas, a Tony-award winning choreographer, or professor of percussion, our staff has one thing in common - they live to make the Bluecoats Experience special. We take great pride in the instructors, creators, and administrators that call the Bluecoats home.
OPERATIONS YOU CAN COUNT ON
Each summer the corps travels more than 10,000 miles, moves into dozens of facilities, purchases thousands of pounds of food, and handles ground transportation for hundreds of flights. At Bluecoats you can expect quality buses, excellent facilities, and an operations staff that puts people and the Bluecoats Experience first.
