Bluecoats, Inc. is seeking applications to be considered for open seats on the Bluecoats Board of Directors. These available Director At Large positions are for seats opening in January at the Annual Meeting of the Corporation. Directors At Large are the highest level of governance at Bluecoats, and collectively hold fiduciary responsibility for the Nonprofit Corporation. The Board hires the CEO, and in cooperation with the CEO, creates the strategic vision for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Attend 4-5 meetings per year (quarterly plus an additional as needed)

  • Serve on a committee (4-10 meetings per year as needed). Committee opportunities include:

    • Executive Committee

    • Finance Committee

    • Ethics Committee

    • Nominating Committee

    • Recognition Committee

    • Events Committee

    • Fundraising & Development

    • Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council

    • Alumni Council

  • Attend major events operated by Bluecoats as appropriate

REQUIREMENTS

  • Free of disqualifying conflicts of interests

  • Submission of required background check

  • Submission of Participant Safety Agreement

  • Submission of Board Member Agreement

  • Submission of Conflict of Interest form (after start of term)

  • At least 21 years old

DESIRED

  • Love and knowledge of the drum corps activity, or a passion for the performing arts and performing arts education

  • Experience with management of governance of a nonprofit organization

  • Demonstrated business, artistic, legal, or academic experience
