2023 Legacy Arc - All the Details!

After taking a summer hiatus for Alumni Corps, Bluecoats Alumni Ensemble - Legacy Arc will be back on the field for 2023 for a performance during Homecoming Weekend on July 1st and then possibly July 2nd.

In the tradition of Legacy Arc there is no drill and the use of music stands is acceptable. Registration for Legacy Arc is through Bluecoats School of the Arts and is used for general and logistical information and uses Google Classrooms for practice materials, show music and guard choreography, similar to the 2022 Alumni Corps.  There will be a few playing assignments. The responsibility for knowing your music and choreo prior to our rehearsal on Friday afternoon, June 30th is a necessity.  Another rehearsal happens for several hours on Saturday, July 1st - show day.

This year we are performing the “music of the 3’s”… are you ready for

  • A Night in Tunisia (’93)

  • (a little Bloo) Seduction (’03) and

  • (a homecoming weekend in) America (’13)?

Our staff for the weekend includes:

  • Will Wells (2000–03, 2005), Music Arranger

  • Lauren Byrne, (BCCG Alum), Guard Choreography

  • Sarah Gallardo (2021), Ensemble Conductor

Legacy Arc Management team are taking on Section Leader duties for Google Classroom

Bluecoats Alumni Ensemble – Legacy Arc is open to all alumni, and anyone who performed in a Bluecoats ensemble (Alumni Corps as an example), including our previous Rhythm IN BLUE ensembles.

FeeS for Legacy Arc 2023

2023 Fees will be under $100 total, covering:

  • music licensing fees,

  • a new logo “home plate” patch and chevron for your jackets,

  • a one-of-a-kind commemorative t-shirt. There will be an option to add your name/year on the back at an additional cost.

    • While we can’t tell you what color the shirt will be yet, we can tell you we will be going with Bloo 2023’s color scheme, so we’ll be repping our home team at the same time.  Your t-shirt will be handed to you when you hit rehearsal on Friday, and you’ll have to keep that under wraps until show time on Saturday.

Fees are due in two non-refundable installments:

  1. the first $30 at registration, which gives access to Google Classroom

  2. the final payment, to be calculated later, will be due in May.

As we are sharing the cost to perform together, the total participation fee amount will be determined after registration is complete. Performers will be invoiced for the remaining amount.
