The Bluecoats and ON2 Percussion are proud to announce a new partnership. In 2014, the corps’ percussion section are utilizing ON2’s drum slips to enhance the look of their Yamaha equipment used in this year’s program, “TILT.” ON2 Percussion drum slips are precut non-permanent wraps for specific percussion instruments that allow users the ability to instantly change the design and appearance of an instrument without removing any hardware. They are interchangeable and do not adhere to the drum. This year’s design for the Bluecoats was conceptualized via a joint effort between the corps’ design team and ON2 Percussion’s team of graphic artists.
Bluecoats Percussion Arranger Tom Rarick is thrilled with the unique look offered by ON2 Percussion. “The sky is the limit in terms of design with ON2 Percussion. We are thrilled with the bold look we were able to achieve in using their products.” ON2 Percussion’s Owner and CEO Cassidy Byars is also excited about this new relationship. “It’s an honor for our drum slips to be utilized by one of the top corps in the world. I look forward to what the future holds for this new partnership.”
The 2014 Bluecoats’ drum slips are prototypes for Yamaha’s new 8300/9300 series drums, and will be available to the public in the near future.
