Bluecoats Indoor Will Not Operate In 2020
Today the Bluecoats organization is announcing that it will not operate Bluecoats Indoor, our world-class WGI colorguard, for the 2020 WGI season.
We are always steadfastly focused on operating programs that create a “Bluecoats Experience" we can be proud of, and therefore a decision like this one is never taken lightly.
Bluecoats Indoor has been a huge success since its creation in late 2017. The program has created productions beloved by the activity, drawn support from the entire Bluecoats community, and provided a space to explore for young performers from all across the United States and Canada. The ensemble was a WGI World Class Finalist both in its inaugural season, and again last year.
"Bluecoats Indoor's recognition and success within the WGI community has so much to do with the incredible people that make the Bluecoats Experience special year round," said Bluecoats CEO Mike Scott. "With people like this at the heart of our decision making, we worked carefully to ensure that not operating the program in 2020 was the right decision for everyone."
Students who have expressed interest in participating in 2020 have received an email with more information. Refunds will be issued immediately for any registrations fees paid.
