Introducing Bluecoats Party in the Plaza
A Free Afternoon of Music, Family, and Fun at Canton’s Centennial Plaza!
Downtown Canton’s beautiful new Centennial Plaza is now the location of the world premiere of the Bluecoats! For the first time since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bluecoats will debut to the world right at home in Canton!
A moment like that deserves a block party! Today we’re announcing the launch of Bluecoats Party in the Plaza, an afternoon of music, food, and family at Centennial Plaza. The event begins at noon on Sunday, August 1st, and includes the following local musical acts:
The Canton Symphony Orchestra Strings (12:00 PM)
The Canton Symphony Orchestra Brass (1:00 PM)
Matt Corey Band (2:00 PM)
The En-Rich-Ment Drumline (special block parade performance!)(4:15 PM)
The Scenic Route (5:15 PM)
...and the world premiere of the Bluecoats in concert! (8:30 PM)
In addition to a day of music, bring you friends and family downtown to eat at Jerzee’s Cafe on the plaza, or the food trucks on site. Then sit on the lawn and enjoy the free concerts, and send the kids off to play on the kid-friendly misting playground. Jerzee’s will have the beer garden open!
“Bringing the Bluecoats back from a year off has allowed us to plan an event here in Canton that we’ve always dreamed of,” said Mike Scott, CEO of Bluecoats. “Party in the Plaza is an opportunity for us to thank our hometown for their support over these difficult months, and to celebrate the arts in Canton at a free event!”
