Bluecoats provides over 90,000 meals each summer for participants in our performing arts programs. Recognizing the physically intensive nature of our activities, we meticulously plan meals that ensure performers, participants, staff, and volunteers receive the energy they need. Our thoughtfully crafted menus support peak performance, enabling everyone to rehearse, teach, and participate at their best. With a commitment to nutrition, Bluecoats Foodservice plays a vital role in enhancing the overall experience for all involved.


Program-Specific Information

  • Bluecoats provides over 90,000 meals each summer! Most of these meals are prepared on our state-of-the-art commercial kitchen trailer by a team of foodservice professionals. During Spring Training, participants and staff eat at the world-class dining hall at the University of Mount Union! Drum corps is a physically intensive activity and we plan meals that provide our performers and staff with the energy they need to rehearse and perform at the highest level!

    Performers, staff, and volunteers are asked to submit all dietary restriction needs during their onboarding process. Both the Bluecoats and Mount Union foodservice teams are prepared to accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions. Though vegetarian options are guaranteed for each meal, vegan options are limited. For those following a vegan diet, we recommend bringing supplemental food from home to maintain appropriate caloric intake.

  • During The Blue Way Summer Arts Camp, The Blue Way participatns will eat meals at the University of Mount Union dining hall, with snack being provided by the Bluecoats foodservice team, served from the state-of-the-art Bluecoats kitchen truck!

    The Blue Way offers campers the unique experience of being a Bluecoat for the weekend, including relaxing with Bluecoats performers during meal times! The Blue Way participants will be asked for dietary restrictions during the registration process. Both the Bluecoats and Mount Union foodservice teams are prepared to accommodate a wide range of dietary restrictions. Though vegetarian options are guaranteed for each meal, vegan options are limited.   • During The Blue Way Marching Band Clinic, The Blue Way participants will be served meals from the state-of-the-art Bluecoats kitchen truck! The Blue Way offers campers the unique experience of a day of drum corps, including relaxing with Bluecoats performers during meal times!
