Associate Photographer
Contractor - Touring
Bluecoats is seeking an Associate Photographer with availability from mid-May to August 14th to join our team of passionate and innovative digital media producers.
We’re particularly excited to hire photographers with editing and/or production skills who share our love of drum corps and the Bluecoats. The successful candidate will have ideas about translating the performing arts and drum corps activity into digital media.
Please submit a portfolio or reel of previous work in your application.
Responsibilities
Capture photographs of the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps and related programming
Tell the story of Bluecoats programs and participants through creative photo capture and editing
Produce and edit photographs for distribution on various media channels
Camera operation
Produce other digital media such as graphic design assets, etc. as available and capable
Requirements
Passion for photography and digital media
Contractor will be required to furnish essential equipment such as a computer, software, a camera, and lenses
Additional equipment will be provided on a team basis as available
Equipment and software required for strategic media projects assigned by Bluecoats will be provided as necessary
Contractor engagement is between mid-May and August 14th. Preference will be given to those with at least two weeks of availability
Based upon availability, contractors may also be scheduled for pre-season events from November to May
Pre-season events are paid on a separate per-engagement rate
Contractor will be required to submit to standard background screening, accept the Participant Safety Agreement, and comply with all code of conduct and other applicable contractor policies
Compensation Range & Benefits
$500/week
Contractor will travel to Bluecoats programming at Bluecoats’ expense
Travel, food, and accommodations are provided for the length of the engagement
Desired
Love of drum corps and/or the performing arts
Previous experience in digital media production for non-profits, performing arts organizations, or corporations
