Assistant Merchandise Coordinator
Contractor - Touring
Bluecoats, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Merchandise Coordinator for the 2026 season. The Assistant Merchandise Coordinator will work with the Merchandise Coordinator to prepare items for sale, set up at event sites, and sell merchandise during events. This individual will report to the Merchandise Coordinator.
We’re particularly excited to hire an Assistant Merchandise Coordinator that has a love of drum corps and experience with drum corps merchandising and/or retail sales.
Responsibilities
Assist Merchandise Coordinator with running the Bluecoats merchandise sales booth at DCI shows and other locations
Fold, tag, track, and process merchandise
Sell merchandise
Assist with breakdown and setup of booth
Requirements
Retail experience (preferred)
Friendly customer service-oriented attitude
Ability to take direction from Manager
Applicant must be 21+
Travel, Schedule & Other Requirements
Contractor engagement has a flexible start date mid-May, and ends August 8th. Preference will be given to those with the most availability
Contractor will travel to Bluecoats programming at Bluecoats’ expense
Travel, food, and accommodations are provided for the length of the engagement
Compensation based on length of engagement
Contractor will be required to submit to standard Background Screening, accept the Participant Safety Agreement, and comply with all code of conduct and other applicable contractor policies
Desired
Love of drum corps and/or performing arts
Previous experience in merchandising and/or retail sales
Compensation Range & Benefits
$500 - $650 per week, commensurate with experience
Contractor will travel to Bluecoats programming at Bluecoats’ expense
Travel, food, and accommodations are provided for the length of the engagement
