Artistry IN BLUE To Go Inactive for 2019 WGI Season
Artistry IN BLUE, the perennially popular WGI winterguard, will go inactive for the 2019 competitive season. The ensemble, directed by Dave Stinson and operated by Bluecoats has been a fan favorite over the course of the last several seasons. The program has competed with much success in both the Independent A and Independent Open classes. “Artistry IN BLUE has been a favorite program of ours, and it reaches an audience of young, local performers that we enjoy working with each year,” said Bluecoats Executive Director David Glasgow. “We’re enormously thankful to Dave Stinson and the entire AIB staff for their unwavering dedication to the experience of our young performers,” he continued.
While this year Bluecoats will take a break from the AIB ensemble, the organization looks forward to continuing to provide incredible educational experiences like this in the future. One such experience is Bluecoats Indoor, a World Class WGI winterguard founded in 2017, that rehearses weekly in Indianapolis. Auditions for Bluecoats Indoor have been set for September 16th and 17th at Edison School for the Arts in Indianapolis, IN. More information can be found at bluecoats.com/events.
