True Bloo: Episode 3

Wow - only six days to go!

Our long stay at beautiful Indiana Wesleyan University is coming to an end and we’ll soon be our way to Detroit, MI for the DCI Tour Premiere! Here is this week’s episode of True Bloo. Don’t forget to subscribe to catch all of our content this season!

This weekend THE BLUE WAY came to IWU. We spent two days with over 100 aspiring young performers showing them what the drum corps experience is like. We even performed a portion of our 2019 program alongside them!

We also received a visit from legendary horn player, TED speaker, and Canadian Brass Member Jeff Nelsen. He presented a portion of his inspiring Fearless Performance lecture, and he had both the Bluecoats and THE BLUE WAY students on their feet! Check out the full recap here.

Drum Corps International also visited to host the second-annual DCI Community Forum. Bluecoats had the opportunity to sit in the audience and ask questions during this event. Many corps got up early in the morning to make sure their performers received a crash course in health and wellness during tour. We also got to hear from our Drum Major Peyton Grunzke and Battery Section Leader Jared Baltazar, as well as our very own CFO/COO Genevieve Geisler who talked about women in drum corps.

So - we’re getting close to tour. It’s almost time for Innovation in Brass: North Canton! That’s just two days after our debut in Detroit at the DCI Tour Premier! Snag you tickets here before they’re all gone!

Enjoy True Bloo and we’ll see you soon!
