Bluecoats Telethon Donors Drive Annual Fund Past $280,000!
FIRST-EVER BLUECOATS TELETHON A CELEBRATORY SUCCESS
2020 has brought many “firsts” into our lives. The first-ever Bluecoats Telethon was no exception. Held on the night before what would have been the biggest event hosted by Bluecoats, the inaugural Bluecoats Telethon celebrated 48 years of performing arts excellence, educational leadership, and a community of supporters like no other.
In March, Bluecoats set a goal of raising $350,000 to aid in the recovery of a cancelled season. Thanks to the incredible outpouring of support before, during, and immediately after the telethon, Bluecoats has now surpassed $284,314 in contributions!

That's a Wrap on 2020 Camps in the Cloud
On Saturday, July 25th, Bluecoats 2020 performers and staff joined for a final Camp in the Cloud for the season. Back in March, we announced that we would host April Camp as an online conference and soon after when we made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 summer tour, we started looking for ways to continue the Bluecoats Experience for our 2020 performers. Part of that commitment to keep the Bluecoats Experience active included hosting monthly Bluecoats in the Cloud events.

Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council Meets To Set Goals
Last month we announced the formation of the Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Council at Bluecoats. This council’s first purpose is to ensure that Black voices within our community are engaged as we advance an anti-racist culture within our community.
Without our usual summer drum corps programming to focus on, now is the time for Bluecoats to take swift action and ensure that, even without the drum corps on the field, our values continue to make an impact. To that end, we would like to share these four action steps that we will begin work on today.
