All in-person auditions are open to musician & color guard students who want to audition for the 2027 Bluecoats or who want to get the Bluecoats Experience. Students will learn from our world-class educational team, meet other talented young performers from around the world, learn about the Bluecoats approach, and complete an individual audition.

You must also purchase the 2027 Techniques & Materials packet for your instrument/position in order to audition.

Early Bird pricing (discounted by $25) applies until October 19 at 11:59 pm ET. Standard pricing starts October 20.

Meals

Bluecoats provides meals to students during in-person audition events & audition camps - we recommend eating a meal before you arrive.

Ground Transportation

For the Ohio Audition Camp only, ground transportation to/from Akron-Canton airport (CAK) and Cleveland Hopkins International (CLE) is provided.

  • Arrival: Shuttle service for arrivals will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 28th. Plan to arrive no later than 8:30 AM on Saturday.

  • Departure: Shuttle service for departures will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 29th. Please book travel after 5:00 PM.

  • If an earlier departure is booked, Bluecoats may be able to provide ground transportation, but understand you may be asked to leave before rehearsal has concluded.

  • If you'd like to request a shuttle, please submit your flight information for your arrival and departure using the form at bluco.at/s_flights.

  • Flight information is always due the Wednesday before camp at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. This allows us ample time to schedule shuttles and drivers.

    • If your flight information is submitted after this deadline, we may be able to provide a shuttle, but we can't guarantee you will be on the most convenient shuttle, and you may have to wait quite a bit.

  • Shuttle information, including pick-up time, location, and driver, will be available at shuttles.bluecoats.com the day before you trave

Overnight Housing

For the Ohio Audition Camp only, overnight housing is provided on Saturday night only. Like during a drum corps tour, students should bring sleeping gear (air mattress/sleeping pad, sleeping bag, pillow) for sleeping on a gym floor.
