The Bluecoats organization seeks its first-ever philanthropy-focused team member to bolster the longevity of Bluecoats and our mission. This role will do this by defining and implementing strategies to secure donors and contributions, providing support, administration, and management for the fundraising activities, executing meaningful stewardship and impact communications, and monitoring and reporting on our success.

The Manager, Development & Community Engagement will partner closely with the CEO to develop and execute fundraising strategies that improve the donor experience, address the organization’s annual fund and campaign goals, improve departmental administration like data quality, CRM, and meeting scheduling; and centralize the office’s various development activities into one experienced and self-starting role. This role will be as much a “builder” as a “doer,” with the exciting opportunity to create a standard-setting foundation for a drum corps’ development department. Furthermore, this new team member will play a central role in the construction of the organization’s first-ever comprehensive campaign.

As outlined by the job description above, this candidates living or relocating to Northeast Ohio will be given preference so that this role can spend at least four days per week at our offices, with flexible hybrid work opportunities, and considerable travel concentrated during our summer season.
