Scott named Business Development Manager

The Bluecoats are proud to announce the appointment of Bluecoats alumnus and tour administrative staff member Michael Scott to the full time position of Business Development Manager. In his role, a new position for the organization, Mike will focus on new fundraising programs as well as the development of key current and future business operations for the organization. Bluecoats Executive Director David Glasgow is excited to add Michael to the organization’s full time staff. “Mike is an extremely talented guy. He’s uniquely skilled to help us develop some of our newest initiatives while also building a solid foundation for our giving programs.” Mr. Scott is looking forward to the opportunity to take on more responsibility for the Bluecoats. “The Bluecoats are a model for many organizations like it. What we have here is incredibly strong and I cannot wait to get to work helping make the Bluecoats even stronger than it is today,” he said.

Mike Scott performed as a conductor for the Bluecoats in 2011. He is an alumnus of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and served as the corps’ Tour Administrator in 2014 and 2015. In addition to his position with the Bluecoats, Mr. Scott will continue to serve as the CEO for Rhythm X, Inc., a non-profit performing arts organization in Dayton, Ohio.
