These weapon and movement instructors join a world-class educational and artistic team from across the United States.

Bluecoats Indoor is excited to announce the addition of Jennifer “Jenifo” Leseth and Jennifer Hinshaw to the Bluecoats Indoor instructional staff. Jenifo will join the team leading our weapons program, and Jennifer will serve as a movement instructor.

Jennifer Leseth is a Chicago native with 30-plus years of performance, instruction, and design experience in color guard, drum corps, and marching band. Her passion for the arts grew from performing with color guards such as Destiny, Guardsmen, State Street Review, and Escapade. Naturally driven to excel, she challenged herself with marching drum corps such as Phantom Regiment and The Cadets.

Jenifo travels globally teaching ensembles in England, Italy, Canada, Japan, Korea, South Africa, and Thailand. Her experience with drum corps includes serving as color guard caption head for Bluecoats (95-98), Crossmen (99), Phantom Regiment (00-03), Madison Scouts (04-05), Carolina Crown(07-08), and Santa Clara Vanguard (09-12).

She has served as the color guard designer and director for various high schools across the U.S., including Marian Catholic (IL), Plymouth Canton (MI), Spring (TX), Winston Churchill (TX), LD Bell (TX), Flower Mound (TX), and Lincoln Way (IL). In addition, she has served nine years as the color guard coordinator for The Army All-American Marching Band. Some of her more current work is with The Calgary Stampede Show Band and numerous midwest bands and winter guards. She also travels the US doing clinics and adjudicating.

Currently, Jennifo is studying meeting and event planning and loves spending time with her friends, family, and beloved pets.

A native of Virginia, Jennifer Hinshaw has been immersed in dance since the age of three. Childhood ballet, jazz, tap, and baton classes cultivated a love for dance that became Jennifer’s life work. In May of 2003, Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in dance education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Since attaining her dance education degree, Jennifer has worked diligently to pass on her passion for dancing. She has founded and directed both the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Dance Department (2003–2006) and the Avon High School Dance Department (2008–present).

Jennifer has been involved in the color guard activity since 1995 and has been privileged to work with many outstanding organizations including Carolina Crown and The Cavaliers drum corps; First Flight, Lexis, and Zydeco winter guards; and Carmel, Center Grove, Marcus, and Northview high schools.

Jennifer resides in Danville, Indiana, with her husband Richard and their three children: McKinley, Coleman, and Annalise.

These two outstanding women join the cutting edge team of Bluecoats Indoor educators that brought the group to WGI Finals in their first season competing.

Bluecoats Indoor is led artistically by Jon Vanderkolff, Jim Moore, Greg Lagola, and Carol Abohatab. The program is managed by Staff Coordinator Rosie Queen, Programs Manager Christopher Drake, Associate Programs Manager Jeremiah Wooten, Artistic Director Jon Vanderkolff, and Chief Executive Officer Mike Scott. Bluecoats Indoor is instructed by a diverse team of educators from around the United States including Samia Mooney, LeAnne Hlavka, Ashley Gonzalez, Edmer Lazaro, Kathy Pearson, Jorge Tovar, Cara Unger, and Lindsay Kusmierczak.
