A Bold Return to the West Coast

The Bluecoats are heading to the Golden State this summer! Following the corps’ annual Spring Training and Opening Night Community Celebration at the University of Mount Union, the corps will head west, kicking off a twelve-state national tour that begins in California. The corps last toured California in 2009.

Early July shows in Southern California and the Bay Area are poised to be major highlights before the corps turns back east, making its way through Texas before returning to a more typical schedule in the Southwest, East, and Midwest.

Building Community: The Summer Music Series

Back home in Ohio, the Bluecoats Summer Music Series continues as a centrepiece of summer community engagement. Launched in 2021, this series brings together a mix of public performances, educational opportunities, and family-friendly events — making it more than just a drum corps tour.

Some standout features for 2026:

Innovations in Brass, one of the country’s largest drum corps shows, returns to Northeast Ohio on August 3, 2026.
The Blue Way Summer Arts Camp lets students and music educators in on the final few days of Bluecoats Spring Training before the corps leaves on its national tour. Students get to rehearse and perform alongside the Bluecoats drum corps, while music educators learn from experts in music education.
Bluecoats Opening Night Community Celebration returns to the University of Mount Union on June 27, 2026. This exciting event features the world debut of the 2026 Bluecoats, performances from drum corps & performing arts groups throughout Ohio, and acts as the send-off before the drum corps heads to the West Coast.
