Hundreds Gather on Live #movingINBLUE Town Hall
Last night, we hosted a #movingINBLUE Town Hall for the Bluecoats community to come together and “move in blue” when we normally would’ve been celebrating the start of a new Spring Training and season. The group conference call was joined by over 200 fans, staff, parents, members, and alumni. It was incredible to see the faces of so many of our wonderful supporters! We feel the love and support of the Bluecoats community and we’re extremely grateful. If you missed the Town Hall, you can watch a recording here.
#TrueBlooTuesday: 2018 Episode 1 - Welcome Back
Since we would usually be moving into Spring Training this week, this #TrueBlooTuesday we're taking a look back at #movingINBLUE in 2018!
Monday Memory: That time when we had a billboard!
While the Bluecoats were officially born on December 3, 1972, the corps did not hit the competitive field until summer of 1974. The first Bloo summer was as a parade corps that stayed fairly close to headquarters at the Canton Police Boys Club. But in 1974 the corps fundraised for traditional corps uniforms and produced its first field show and hosted the very first Innovations IN BRASS.
Bluecoats Staff Members Retool Personal Businesses To Support Their Communities
Two members of the Bluecoats community have retooled their businesses to provide support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Greg Lagola, Bluecoats Costume Designer and Color Guard Choreographer, is the owner and designer of Gregory Joseph in New York. This designer brand that addresses the issues of sustainability and responsible manufacturing in the upscale fashion market has shifted the bulk of its business’ production to making face masks.
Thank You For Your Support!
Yesterday, for #GivingTuesdayNow, we set two fundraising goals to help us toward our 2020 fundraising goal of $350,000! We aimed to get our Sustaining Membership of The Shield up to 200 members and raise $5,000 in one-time donations. Not only did we reach both of our goals, but we surpassed them! Your continued support as we weather the cancellation of the 2020 season, the temporary closure of Champion Bingo, and the loss of many of our summer fundraising events, has been overwhelming. Your support is helping us continue the Bluecoats Experience this summer and for years to come.
#TrueBlooTuesday: 2016 - Finals Week
For this #TrueBlooTuesday and #GivingTuesdayNow, we're remembering the interaction and connection during Finals Week with Bloo16!
It's #GivingTuesdayNow
Yesterday, we announced a 2020 fundraising goal of $350,000 and today is the perfect day to get started! This goal is necessary to fulfill our refund obligations and keep the Bluecoats organization alive and operating. We stand firmly behind our mission to provide life-changing performing arts programming, and our amazing team members are pouring their lives into this challenge. We hope that you can help us reach our goal by making a #GivingTuesdayNow gift!
