A New Mission, Vision, and Values
Over the last several years, we’ve spent a lot of time at Bluecoats reflecting on the kind of organization we’d like to be. We’ve examined our roots, celebrated our achievements, and worked hard on the things we can do better. So, as we enter the second 50-year chapter of the Bluecoats organization, it’s time to set our vision for the future, and work to create a Bluecoats that celebrates the value of performing arts education for everyone.
In alignment with this, we’ve created updated Mission, Vision, and Values statements to align with our vision for the future of Bluecoats.

Meet the 2023 Bluecoats Fellows
The Bluecoats Fellowship aims to create a pathway to a more diverse and inclusive world in the marching arts. Bluecoats Fellows are individuals who are a part of, or are committed to supporting, traditionally under-represented communities in marching arts design, and are selected by demonstrating excellent skill and potential in their field. Fellows are paired with the Bluecoats designer in their field to grow their skills, receive advice and guidance on their work, and learn from a renowned world-class designer.
Today, we’re excited to introduce the second class of Bluecoats Fellows! Find out more about them below.
