The Bluecoats Win Silver Medal, Best Percussion At Unforgettable 50th Anniversary DCI World Championships
In a stunning photo finish, the Bluecoats and the Boston Crusaders tied to share the Silver Medal at the 50th Anniversary DCI World Championships in Indianapolis on Saturday. In the first year of competition since 2019, the corps also broke new ground, winning its first-ever Fred Sanford Best Percussion Performance Award.

Jim Porter and Betty Smith Named Inaugural Recipients of The Champion Award
The new Champion Award honors local leaders in the arts, culture & humanities. This award is a centerpiece initiative of the Bluecoats organization’s 50th anniversary. We’re thrilled to announce Jim Porter, president of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Betty Smith, Founder & Executive Director of En-Rich-Ment of Stark County, as the inaugural recipients of the Champion award.
